Cabañas Río Claro

Cool place.

The peaceful setting won us over. From the yard, you can watch the sheep raised on the property, and once you're inside, the town's bustle fades away. Coyhaique's center is about a 5-minute drive, though this is on the outskirts, so having a car is convenient. There aren't many activities nearby. My wife and I arrived in summer, during high season, and found most places full. The few available options were very expensive. We checked out Río Claro and were quoted 50,000 pesos per night for a cabin. That seemed reasonable after we'd paid 20,000 pesos per person in a residential area about 3 km from the center for a small room with two single beds, a shared bathroom, and street parking for the second person. The cabin was impeccable and fully equipped: refrigerator, microwave, cable TV, toaster, four-burner stove, water heater, dining table, and dishes. It had two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with three single beds. Both had a dresser and closet, and the bathroom had hot water. There are four cabins, I might be wrong, and each has enough parking space. For two people, it's more than enough, and the prices are similar to or often lower than those in town. With the whole family, I'd even call it economical. The amenities were better than I expected, which I really appreciated. I'm very grateful for our stay and would recommend coming here with confidence.

Right by the cabins, parking was easy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was extremely clean and comfortable, a lovely place to stop for a break along the Carretera Austral. Thank you so much for your hospitality, Maria José!

The cabin was in excellent shape, and the presentation and cleanliness were 10/10. It smelled wonderful when we walked in. The bathroom was 1000/10, and they even provide towels. There's parking and green space around the cabin. The owner was kind and attentive from the moment we booked. I'd recommend it without hesitation.
