The architecture is beautiful and the place has potential, and the staff are notably friendly. The facilities let it down, though: the rooms aren't well soundproofed, there's no central heating and the heating is broken, and today there was no water. Getting there is difficult, with several blocks of gravel road and then 6 km from the city centre. The rooms are separate from the rest of the hotel, so you have to go outside to reach the dining areas.

The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable, but I didn't have a good stay. Wi-Fi was terrible, I could hear snoring and every other noise from the rooms next door, and the shower water never got hot. After tours, they only offered snacks, not dinner. If you bring food for children, there's a 6,000 corkage fee.

The name listed is wrong: it's called Lodge Fuegos Patagonia, and searching Google Maps for that name won't bring it up. The wooden rooms let you hear everything from inside and outside the hotel. Some are beside a bar inside the "hotel," so there's noise all around and sleeping is impossible. The hotel is very cold, and the heating kept switching off. On two of our three mornings, the power went out while I was showering, leaving no hot water. The woman working there was unfriendly, and the service was terrible. This is the worst "hotel" I've stayed in so far.

The lunch menu that Sunday was a real highlight: peppered entrecote with mushroom sauce, which was superb, and Lyonnaise mashed potatoes. My sweetheart and I both went to try it. I chose the chicken consommé from the menu since it was fresher than usual, but the 7,900 Chilean peso charge was outrageous. You won't find consommé that expensive anywhere else. The beer selection was also disappointing, especially with so many regional beers around. Service at the table was slow, so this isn't a good choice if you need a quick lunch.
