Luciano K Hotel

The room was clean and cool, and the staff were great and very accommodating. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast buffet and spent a couple of relaxing hours hanging out on the rooftop. Great location too. I’ll be back.

The building and rooms are interesting, and the floors are terrific. There’s a cage elevator too. We found the beds comfortable, breakfast good, and staff helpful. The rooftop pool is more of a plunge pool and was cold, not heated when we were there. We sat up there for a while in the afternoon on the lounges under the tent, which was lovely. The location is great, across the big street and up the hill, or into Italia or Lastaria.

The rooms were comfortable and quiet, though the historic building makes for some odd layouts. Many bedrooms have no street-facing window. In one room the window was in the bathroom, and in another small room it looked into a very small interior space. The location puts you near places to eat and a street market, but a few nearby roads didn’t feel very safe. The rooftop pool is tiny, a handkerchief really, so we didn’t bother getting in. There are lovely sunset views from the little terraces up the stairs from the rooftop bar. You’re not meant to have drinks brought up there, but the bartender kindly brought ours. The empanadas at the rooftop bar were great.

The rooftop bar was absolutely amazing, 10/10. The view is stunning, the snacks were fantastic, and both the pisco sour and non-alcoholic limonade were awesome. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, grab a drink there. The hotel was great too, with really cute rooms and staff who went above and beyond. Breakfast was average, but fine.
