Pura Hotel

Set high above the city, this beautiful lodge has a rustic look and all the modern amenities. The staff were fabulous. It’s not downtown, but only a short Uber ride away. I’d highly recommend it and would stay again if I make it back this way. 5 stars!

The kind, welcoming staff were the best part and took care of all our needs. When we’d just arrived from the airport and were relaxing on the outside deck, they even offered us beers and snacks. Breakfast was simple but nice. Pura was more beautiful than the photos, with a cozy, high-end feel throughout. Everything exceeded our expectations. Best hotel in Coyhaique!

We chose this converted home for its location, price, and promise of an “authentic Patagonian breakfast.” I’m not from Chile, so I can’t say exactly what that should mean, but the breakfast didn’t seem to have anything specifically Patagonian. The juice and jams were store-bought and full of sugar, and we’d hoped for local flavors, so the typical American style breakfast was an unpleasant surprise. The staff played Justin Bieber pop music during breakfast, which didn’t fit the “pura” ethos to me. The staff themselves were lovely, but I’d suggest matching the website’s values with what the hotel actually does, including the music and food. We stayed at a Patagonia House on another occasion, and they do this well. It costs more, but felt much more authentic. The room was lovely, with great linens, a hot, powerful shower, and lavender-scented shampoo. The place has a rustic exterior and a beautiful living room feel. ❤️ 💫

Carolina was especially helpful with our rental car and gave us lots of recommendations. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Pura Hotel is a clean, brand new, exclusive little gem in the hills on the outskirts of Coyhaique, with only several rooms.
