The owners run the place themselves and were so attentive, taking care of all the little details. We stayed with our two children and had a great visit. Our room was very comfortable, with first-class beds, and there was a large shared dining room, living room, and terrace, all well equipped.

The place was very clean and the staff were genuinely nice, which makes it hard to write the rest. We spent five nights in midwinter, and only had hot water on one of them. The rooms were warm on just two nights. On the second night I got what was probably the worst food poisoning I've ever had. On top of that, the neighbor's dog barked until around 2:00 in the morning, so we barely slept. Between Rita and me, we've stayed in more than 60 countries, and we've never paid so much for so little. This place could be really good, but it seriously needs someone to manage it. Until that happens, I'd look elsewhere.

Tomás was a very attentive host. Even when we were the only guests, he made us amazing breakfasts, and he was helpful with suggestions for things to do nearby. We really enjoyed our time at Nativa Mountain Suites, an excellent lodge in Malalcahuello.

Meals are included at Restaurante Nativa, right next to the lodge, and the beds were very comfortable. The place is nicely built and equipped, with thoughtful touches throughout. Max, the owner, clearly cares about it and is always present and attentive. We had a wonderful time, an exceptional stay in Malalcahuello.
