The grilled pineapple, which they can make as an off-menu vegan dessert, was delicious. They were great about accommodating gluten and dairy-free needs, and you don’t have to be a hotel guest to eat here. What a tasty meal. Give this place a try while visiting Easter Island!

Our flight was delayed, but even at 9 PM the staff were there waiting with our itinerary printed and ready for the excursions. The private tours were amazing, and having a guide who could adapt made them even better. Great place to stay, with amazing service.

Teva was a real highlight. His friendly manner made it easy to connect with him, and he shaped our private excursions around what we needed, balancing fun, awe-inspiring sights, and history. He was game for anything we wanted to try. We stayed in July 2025 on our first trip to Rapa Nui, and Hare Uta exceeded every expectation we had for this boutique hotel. At the airport, we were greeted with fresh flower necklaces and driven seven minutes to the property, where the staff welcomed us with delicious non-alcoholic drinks. The lush, vibrant grounds include a Moai. Our upper unit was spacious, beautiful, and modern, with a large veranda and comfortable seating that was perfect for watching the sunset. We ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant every day. There were plenty of delicious food and drink options, made-to-order drinks, and a good wine list. We’re so glad we picked Hare Uta for this dream destination.

José was the consummate host, always making sure we felt appreciated and well looked after. Fernando kept our glasses full and brought out lovely kitchen delicacies, including tuna we’d caught and they prepared several different ways. Housekeeping was A+, and the onsite restaurant was amazing for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. My husband and I spent a week there in October, and they really rolled out the red carpet. The accommodations were perfect, and they helped us with all our excursions. It’s a fabulous, five-star resort in every way. If we return to Easter Island, Hare Uta is the only place we’ll stay.
