Rapa Nui Native Hostel

The apartment sits just off Atamu Tekena Street, the main street in Hanga Roa Village, and it’s handy for the supermarket, pharmacy, and national park ticket office. The room was clean, towels were supplied, but there were no foot wipes. A few screws were loose in the fixtures, lol, and some bulbs had burned out, though neither was a real bother. Birds, chickens, and barking dogs did wake me in the morning. There’s no front desk since it’s an apartment rental. You pay in the room at checkout, and airport transfers are available. For problems, contact the owner, but replies can be slow. Cooking facilities are provided, though some rooms don’t have a microwave, so check before booking. Hot water was plentiful. There’s only a fan, no air conditioning, so the second floor could be tough in summer. The facilities are about three stars, but I’d give the location an extra star for service. A good choice if you’ll mostly be out exploring.
