Escorial

The location is right in the center of La Serena, with lots of places nearby, including the Recova, and a plaza not far away. The Japanese Garden is about an 18-minute walk, and the beach is roughly a 20-minute drive. Simply spectacular. We were on vacation with family and had a wonderful stay. The rooms were cozy, service was quite good, and a lovely Colombian lady treated us wonderfully. Whenever we came back, the beds were made and there were fresh towels, everything seemed new. Breakfast from 8 am to 10 am was very good and well-balanced.

It's a quiet place in a good location, with beautiful surroundings and excellent service. The staff paid attention to what we needed and gave us plenty of information about tours. Breakfast was included, and the rooms were fully equipped. A small downside was that some accessories in the room looked worn and rusty. The curtains weren't double-layered, so you could see through them when the window was open.

The facilities feel like stepping back 150 years, and the place reminded me of Macondo in 100 Years of Solitude. We were fascinated when we arrived, it was a great discovery. There's ample parking, the service is excellent, and the people are extremely friendly. Breakfast was delicious and well served; the bed was very comfortable, the shower was good, and it was very quiet.

We went with my family and were lucky to find a room available. It reminded me of my grandmother's house that collapsed. The place is very colonial and old-fashioned, and the breakfast was quite good. I couldn't get internet access, and they don't post the prices. Apart from that, everything was excellent. 10/10.
