La Caballeriza

A lovely little boutique hotel.

The horses were gentle and clearly well looked after, and we saw plenty roaming freely, along with donkeys and even ponies. My partner and I had a spectacular time riding out to the Los Aromos Reservoir, taking in the scenery on a tour that was guided really well. You can tell how much care and dedication they give the animals. Thanks for the kind attention and a ride we won't forget. We'll come back to La Caballeriza Club!

The grounds are beautiful, with lots of space and tidy green areas, and the pool was immaculate. But it has no safety gate for children, and the place generally seems poorly maintained. As a hotel it might be fine, but as an event venue it was terrible. The management was really lacking. I went for a field trip, and the service was disappointing from the start. The tables weren't ready when we arrived, and both breakfast and lunch began later than we'd agreed. The food tasted good, but everything was disorganized, with food being served through a leak and children watching while others ate. Fish was listed on the menu but wasn't available, and the drinks were late too. The women's restroom was flooded. In the emergency restroom by the barbecue area, pond water was running across the floor.

The place looked pleasant, which made lunch all the more disappointing. There were dead flies on our table. The garlic shrimp had raw garlic in a bland sauce and was badly prepared (3.5). The corn cake was okay, but I expected something better and more rustic (5.8).
