Hostel Moreno

The internet was amazing, which mattered since I worked remotely while surfing here for a few days. It's a clean, well-run hostel with a lovely plant-filled courtyard that's a nice little retreat. The crowd seemed more family-oriented and calm, with few parties, and I appreciated being able to work in peace. The location in pichilemu is great, and I could walk everywhere.

The mattresses aren't great, so if you have a sensitive back, I wouldn't stay more than a couple of days. Still, the room quality is high for a fairly low price, and breakfast is nice, with rolls, cereal, fruit, and drinks. The owners are friendly, and the place is calm and clean, good for solo travelers, couples, or families. There's a green garden and a rooftop terrace with plenty of room to relax. You can rent bikes here, and the beach is only a few minutes away on foot.

The staff really made the stay for me. Pauline & Carmen were so welcoming and always went out of their way to help. The shared spaces are roomy and have a much nicer feel than the bedrooms, with a woodsy, natural look. There's a TV lounge with sofas and Wi-Fi throughout. The kitchen could be bigger, but it usually doesn't get too crowded, and it has the utensils you'd need and seems well kept. Out back, there's a courtyard for getting sun or having a cigarette, plus a yard with native birds in the trees and space to hang laundry. The hostel is a block from the center and about a three to five minute walk from the beach. Pichilemu is small, with grocery stores and supermarkets near Moreno Hostel, and "La Casa del Empanadas" nearby too. From the bus terminal, which is outside the city, the walk is probably a ten to fifteen minute adventure. The private rooms had enough space for our group, a small window for a breeze and a view from the bed, and Wi-Fi in the dorms. The bathrooms were nice, with five complete bathrooms by my count, and enough room in the showers for your clothes and belongings. It covered the basics really well and had a homey touch. Great location, amenities, and staff. Thanks!

Ignacio is incredible, always ready to improve the place and make your stay better. One of the best hostels I've stayed at. A must see!
