After a couple of hours surfing with our kids, coming back to the hot tub or having a facial in this forest setting was just wonderful. We loved spending time here near the beach. The restaurant was ideal, and the cooks and owners made us feel so welcome. We also had a great time at the NYE party. I highly recommend it!

I came away from my retreat weekend feeling rested and refreshed, and really enjoyed the evening facilities: sauna, hot tubs and swimming pool. Awake BioSpa was a big plus, with wonderful wellness and remedial circuits and therapies. The therapists knew their crafts and were nurturing in how they applied the different treatments. It felt like a healing oasis, and I left feeling aligned physically, energetically and emotionally. The lodge itself is cozy, comfortable and full of thoughtful details. It’s beautifully decorated and peaceful in the forest, yet close enough to the beach that you can hear the waves. Everyone on staff was kind and attentive. They even saved breakfast for me after I came back from a surf class, which was such a sweet gesture. I highly recommend the place, and I’ll definitely return. Thanks to the whole team for taking such good care of me.

The place looks abandoned, and the road here is pretty rough. The natural setting is nice, but the location feels remote. For what you pay, it’s overpriced. Maybe they assume surfers don’t need decent Wi-Fi, soundproof walls, a proper breakfast or a heater in the room. Those basics might be acceptable at 20 for a room, but not at 100.
