We booked three nights in September 2021, during rainy weather, but managed to sleep only one. Nobody greeted us when we arrived, and the cabin was in terrible shape and hadn’t been cleaned. The curtains were torn and dirty, the shower floor was rusty, the sofa was filthy and covered in what looked like dog or cat hair, and the pots and pans were rusty too. There was a flashlight charging when we got there, which made sense later that night when the power went out. As the rain picked up, water poured in around the windows in the living room, main bedroom, and stairwell. Everything got soaked. Our three phones had no internet signal, and there was nobody there to help while our daughters cried, frightened by the storm and the situation in the dark. The cabin clearly wasn’t ready for guests and had no maintenance. What we found was nothing like the website photos. There was also a loose dog, and we couldn’t tell whether it was aggressive, and the pool was disgusting. The whole place felt neglected. I’m sharing this so other people are careful. It would be awful for another family to go through what my daughters and I did. We got sick after water came through the windows, and we didn’t realize until morning that we’d slept in damp conditions because there was no light.
