Hotel Vivo Montaña

The pool is heated only in peak season, and we weren't told until we arrived. At the restaurant, off-season means breakfast only. Nothing is on display, you have to order, and the choices are very limited apart from eggs. Outside noise carries straight into the room. At reception there's no security, and nobody notices who comes or goes. I'm never going back!

The people were very friendly, and everything else was fine. I thought the restaurant had too little variety, and the bedrooms and bathroom could use more storage furniture. For the service they provide, I found it expensive, though I imagine the location may explain the price.

I booked three days to relax based on what the website promised, but my vacation was ruined from the first day. The covered outdoor pool never gets sun, so the water was freezing and impossible to swim in. It was supposed to be the Gran Hotel Vivo Montana, but it didn't feel grand at all. A terrible experience. The advertised bar with cocktails and signature food, plus a children's menu, was closed. There was nothing to drink, and the restaurant was shut except at breakfast, despite the promise of a wide, varied menu. The rooms were dirty, with dusty floors and furniture and dirty bathroom floors and toilets. The sauna advertised as a place for a relaxing, detoxifying steam bath wasn't working and was closed. Massages weren't available either, since the masseuse only works during peak season.

The room had everything we needed to stay warm, and we had a very pleasant stay, from the service to the heated pool. The restaurant portions were generous and the food was very good, while the bar offered high-quality products. I'd go back without a second thought.
