China, the hotel owner and guide, led a great tour and shared a lot about the history of the moai. The rooms are okay, with basic facilities, and the airport is nearby with many restaurants around. It has a homely feel, with cockerels, hens, chicks, and dogs inside the compound. Breakfast was good: fruit, ham and eggs, juice, and coffee.

I loved sitting on the terrace outside each house and watching the sunset. It’s a comfortable Hostal with a beautiful garden, and the location is great, closest to the nearby Moai site.

Chinita Pakarati made our first family trip to the island such a lovely experience. She arranged tours for us, and all her staff were kind and welcoming. We have no complaints at all. The hostel is close enough to the center that we didn’t need to rent a car to get around. Thank you so much, Chinita. I hope we can come back someday 💖
