Cabañas en Pucon con vista cordillera

It was about twenty minutes from town, and a lovely place to return to after a day out. We stayed three days with nine people and a small dog. The owners were attentive and caring, bringing breakfast around 8 each morning. The place is pristine, with great amenities and walking areas. It has a simple, serene ranch feel and an unprecedented view of the volcano. My elderly in-laws enjoyed the quiet and farm life, while the younger ones had fun with the pool, tree house, zip line and cherry trees. I'd love to come back with just my wife to relax.

The setting worked really well for us, about 25 minutes from Pucón and roughly 30 minutes from an incredible hike at Parque Huerquehue. The final 5 minutes of the drive are a bit steep and rocky, but we managed just fine in an older city car. We loved the cabin. It had everything we needed, including a really cool wood pellet heater, and the view was the best. Sheep and cats wandered around the property now and then. Breakfast was delicious and hearty, and arrived promptly at 8AM in our little outdoor breakfast box. We'd absolutely recommend staying here and will come back next time we're in Pucón.

The beautiful views and remote setting make this a great place to get away, with plenty of outdoor activities within an hour by car. Some simpler options are more or less across the street. Communication with the owner was excellent, and we got keys for the gate so we could come and go as we liked. There's a safe in the cabin that you can alarm, and we felt very safe. We stayed in one of the smaller two-bedroom cabins, called “llaima” or something like that. It had a queen bed in one room and two twins in the other. Compared with Chilean cabins I've used, it felt more modern and better equipped. The pellet-fired heater works well and warms the bedrooms if you leave the doors open. The gas stove and hot water were reliable. There were plenty of dishes and a refrigerator, although it didn't cool properly. Housekeeping also washes your dishes, so leave a tip. Breakfast is basic, but I liked that they could bring it the night before if we had an early start. Wifi worked well, and I even had Entel data in this remote spot.

The cabins are beautiful and the volcano views are spectacular. Some details could have been better, like being more flexible about breakfast timing and serving fresher pastries. Part of the issue was a language barrier. It has the feel of a beautiful cottage belonging to a friend.
