Hostal Wohlenberg

On the evening of January 10, we called to reserve a room and were told the booking was confirmed and that we could pay when we arrived. We even asked again whether we could pay in advance, and were told there was no need. But when we showed up the next day, they said we hadn't made a reservation and that the room had been rented during the shift change, while pretending not to know anything. They offered no solution. The place is far away and right beside the bus terminal. We eventually found a hostel that was cheaper and more central.

I only needed a room for one night, so I called to book. The lady was super friendly and asked for my details. I offered to pay before arriving, but she wouldn't take payment and told me, “Your room is already confirmed, don't worry.” I said, “Okay, perfect, I'll go to Pucón tomorrow.” When I got there, a man told me there were no rooms. I said I needed to speak with the lady, and he replied, “Let's see...” He called her on the intercom. When I gave her my name, she went quiet and acted like she didn't understand. Horrible and very unprofessional. It's also right next to the bus station. Honestly, thank goodness it didn't work out.

A great place to stay, with heating and an excellent location. Just keep in mind there's no breakfast.

It has a wonderful family atmosphere and is excellent. Highly recommended for a long stay, or if you'd like to feel like part of a family while away from home.
