Hotel Casa Solaria

Jorge Elliott made our stay. He guided us throughout the eight days and took us to places away from the usual tourist route. We learned so much about the region from him, and he’s an extraordinary person. He alone is a good reason to choose this hotel. We stayed in December 2019 and had a wonderful time. It was peaceful, the breakfast was very good, and everyone was warm and kind. The hotel is also in a great spot, near the lake, downtown, restaurants, and other amenities.

The hotel is stunning, and the service made our stay memorable. The woman serving breakfast was so welcoming, with a lovely smile and kind manner. Please give her a raise! Breakfast itself was great. The night staff member was helpful and spoke very good English. Check-in was a bit of a struggle, though, since the receptionist spoke little to no English.

The team is what makes Casa Solaria special. Carolina and Jorge went out of their way to help whenever they could, and the restaurant crew made a birthday feel special. Breakfast was terrific, and the location couldn’t be better. The rooms were comfortable, though I would have liked a bath. Prices are the one real drawback, and they’re very high. For example, a bottle of beer cost 3800. If money isn’t an issue, you won’t regret staying here. This team is amazing. Thank you, Casa Solaria.

The modern lodge design is sleek and appealing, and the staff were accommodating. We could walk everywhere, with lovely views of both the volcano and the lake. Breakfast was great, and the cappuccino was first class. Loved everything about the place.
