We stayed at around ten hotels in Chile, and apart from a few very expensive ones, this was the highlight. The rooms were clean and modern, with great AC that worked flawlessly. The lunch buffet was excellent, if a little pricey, but worth it. Staff were great all around, from reception to the restaurant. The free transfer runs once an hour and worked really well for us. Despite being near the airport, it was quiet, and the WiFi had no issues. A great stay.

The airport shuttle is handy, but you have to reserve it ahead of time. It leaves the hotel on the hour and picks up passengers at 15 minutes past the hour, and they stick closely to the schedule. The rooms are standard Hilton, a decent size with decent linens, so it's a good choice if you need to be near the airport. The shower area could use a non-slip mat: my partner slipped and fell, and staff said there was one beside the shower stall, but we couldn't find it.

A good spot if you're connecting through Santiago for a day. They were accommodating about early check-in, late check-out, and storing luggage, and the free airport shuttle is handy for departures on the hour. It has to be booked in advance. For arrivals, the timing makes it much less useful: you can only catch it on the hour, and if your flight is delayed, you're out of luck. There's not much you can walk to around the hotel, but it's convenient when arriving or heading to the airport. The on-site restaurant is so-so, though room service is available all the time. Nice gym, pool, hot tub, and sauna.

Breakfast, the restaurant, and service were all very good, but as a three-star hotel the rest felt average. The WiFi and internet were terribly slow, which doesn't work for a business hotel and meant Netflix wouldn't run on the TV either. The shower was another problem. It was impossible to keep the ultra-cheap fixture in one position, and adjusting the water temperature was really difficult. A quick shower just wasn't possible.

Most of the stay was pretty amazing. Brian handled our check-in incredibly well, and “La vaca en Santiago” will be a legend from now on. It was a great layover spot, and I'm glad United Airlines covered the bill rather than our family. Javi, though, left my wife with a bad impression, which is why I'm giving so few stars. I offered a 5000 Chilean peso tip to another waitress hoping to get more rice, and Javi promptly said it wasn't enough. My wife got furious, so we dropped the request and got the tip back. In her eyes, that was unprofessional. We don't want Javi as our host or waitress.
