Hostal Posada Angelmo

The room was very bright and noisy at night. The breakfast and service were good, though.

The rooms are spacious, and the people are kind.

The photos they post have nothing to do with what I found. They made it look like a normal hostel, but the atmosphere felt more like a motel, and that wasn’t made clear anywhere. From the afternoon on, there was constant shouting inside and strangers coming and going, which made the place feel unsafe and very unpleasant. I left as soon as I arrived. The conditions were deplorable: filth everywhere, an unbearable musty smell, and no hygiene. The walls were stained, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and the bed was disgusting, with visible stains and even cigarette butts on it. It was a terrible experience from the very first moment. Dangerous, uncomfortable, and dirty. I wouldn’t recommend it under any circumstances.

We booked through Airbnb, but the place was nothing like its photos. It was a dump, musty and without ventilation. The bathroom was full of toothpaste, cleanliness left a lot to be desired, and the towel they gave me smelled awful. I couldn’t imagine taking a shower with that mildew smell and no ventilation, and I had doubts they’d changed the sheets. The location was terrible, in the most dangerous part of Puerto Montt, where you can’t go out at night. It was clearly accommodation for other purposes.
