The owners came across as a bit arrogantly friendly, maybe because they've run the hotel as a well-off family for a long time. They weren't unpleasant, just not especially down to earth. On the practical side, the rooms were clean, the heater worked, and the location was very central. They let us store luggage, and payment by card or cash was possible. The location is great, and the room was clean and warm. We left our bags there while hiking the W-track. My friend forgot her power bank in the room and got it back five days later. I also lost my PDI document. The owner pointed me to the nearby police station, a few blocks away, where I got a copy in 15 minutes.

During our three nights, nobody cleaned the room or changed the towels. The window was broken, the room sloped noticeably to one side, and it was small and unattractive. Breakfast was hardly enough, with only jam provided. When we asked the owner for ice for a twisted ankle, he said he didn't have any, though another staff member did. The property and the place where the keys were kept were left unattended. He also insulted me in a private chat.

Right in the center, near all the restaurants, but tucked into a quiet area. The staff were really nice, and they stay open late.
