The views from the lobby, dining area and rooms were stunning, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable with a comfy bed. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had plenty to choose from, including fresh fruit and yogurt. We stayed here before the Patagonia W Trek and enjoyed the hotel, though I would have preferred being in town, near restaurants, and able to walk around more easily. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful when we checked in. They have hot tubs, but we didn't have time to use them.

Ivana and Paula at the front desk were outstanding, and the hotel service was excellent. The rooms are basic but very clean, and housekeeping came every day. Being outside of town makes the place very quiet, with beautiful water and mountain views. The restaurant dinner service, though, was terrible. After a very poor experience on our first night, we ate dinner elsewhere for the rest of our five-night stay.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the welcome drink was delicious and well prepared. Our room was spacious and clean, generally quiet, and had a nice view of the fjord. Breakfast needs more staff. When a group comes through, one attendant can't keep up with clearing tables and refilling the buffet. I don't understand why a front desk attendant can't step in for five minutes. One morning a large group was leaving around 6 for a tour, and people slamming doors from 5:30 onward made a lot of noise. It wouldn't have bothered us if we were leaving early too. The sauna and hot tub cost 50,000 pesos to use. Given how remote the hotel is from the city centre, extra comfort facilities could have been a perk over staying in town. We paid about 50% more than the city hotel we used for our first two nights. If this had offered a lot more value, I would have been happy with the price, but it didn't. We ended up in a hotel with a marginally larger room and a better view, but far from the city. Next time, I'd likely stay at a city hotel instead.

After the W trek, all we wanted was a meal and a hot tub. The tub costs an extra 30.000,00 pesos, but it's private for an hour and has a beautiful view of the mountains and fjord. The hotel has gluten-free and vegetarian choices at dinner and at the included breakfast. The morning buffet was less smooth: when we arrived at 7h30 am, most of the eggs, fruit and yogurt were gone. We had to ask for a refill, then wait 20 minutes while items slowly came back, and we were short on time. As others have mentioned, the breakfast process could be streamlined.

We loved our stay. The rooms and staff were great, and breakfast was perfectly adequate. It now starts at 5:30am, which made our early outings easier. Just plan ahead: you’ll need a car, a taxi, or a walk into town, and the restaurant and bar are closed on Sundays. Honestly, I don’t understand the negative reviews.
