My confirmed booking was canceled by the property at 11 PM the night before I was due to arrive. They said it was because of an internal system error and told me to contact Booking.com customer service to cancel, or that they would mark me as a no-show without charging me. They offered no help finding somewhere else at such short notice. By the next morning, the original arrival day, they still had not provided the written confirmation I requested that I would not be charged. A disappointing experience, and not the professional service I expected.

It’s close to town while still being quiet. The hotel is nice, just not five-star.

The handy part was being able to get breakfast to go when we had an early start. It was simple, but I appreciated it. The rooms got uncomfortably hot, especially the bathroom. It almost felt like the floors were heated, which might be nice in cooler weather, but in summer the bedroom was hot too. Other guests kept their door open, probably because of the heat, and their conversations carried into my room past midnight. It didn’t seem like quiet hours were enforced.

A good place to bookend a Torres del Paine trip. The food was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. After I got back from the O-trek, my bags were already in my new room, and the front desk was flexible about checkout. Highly recommend it.
