We were only there for one night, using Puerto Natales as our base before a Patagonia trek, but Martin Gusinde made it a great stop. The city itself was a pleasant surprise, with good restaurants and plenty of nice shops. The front desk was friendly and quick, and they let us leave our bags while we did the W trek. Our room was spotless and updated, the shower was hot, and breakfast was a treat, with eggs made to order, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Hope we get back.

My confirmed booking was canceled by the property at 11 PM the night before I was due to arrive. They said it was because of an internal system error and told me to contact Booking.com customer service to cancel, or that they would mark me as a no-show without charging me. They offered no help finding somewhere else at such short notice. By the next morning, the original arrival day, they still had not provided the written confirmation I requested that I would not be charged. A disappointing experience, and not the professional service I expected.

The handy part was being able to get breakfast to go when we had an early start. It was simple, but I appreciated it. The rooms got uncomfortably hot, especially the bathroom. It almost felt like the floors were heated, which might be nice in cooler weather, but in summer the bedroom was hot too. Other guests kept their door open, probably because of the heat, and their conversations carried into my room past midnight. It didn’t seem like quiet hours were enforced.

A good place to bookend a Torres del Paine trip. The food was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. After I got back from the O-trek, my bags were already in my new room, and the front desk was flexible about checkout. Highly recommend it.
