The daily cleaning crossed a line for me. Staff picked up and rearranged my belongings, including clean and dirty laundry, and I’d come back to find my clothes in completely different places. I appreciate daily cleaning, but having my private things handled that way felt like a major invasion of space. The cabin got unbearably hot in the afternoon. Even with the windows open to the Patagonian wind, it felt like a sauna every day, and there’s no AC. Thin walls also meant I could hear neighbors talking, their TV, and even someone snoring. Earplugs were provided, but wearing them all the time in your own room isn’t ideal. There were some real positives. The location right in the center was unbeatable, near restaurants and cafes, and the host was kind, flexible, and quick to answer questions. Check-in was easy with clear instructions, and the room itself was beautiful with a lovely view, even if there was an empty lot just below the window. The rooms looked nice and seemed well equipped, but some practical details fell short. Our room had everything, but our friend’s room lacked a toaster or frying pan. The coffee maker still had residue from the previous guest, the dishes were clearly dirty, and our bathroom door had a major structural dent that made it hard to open or close and felt unsafe. There’s potential for a great stay, but privacy, noise, and maintenance made it hard to relax.
