All the cabanas were booked, so we stayed in an apartment unit instead. It was spacious and clean, with a kitchenette, heater, and hot shower. The property runs from the main highway down to the lake shore, where the beach had a spectacular volcano view. There was a grocery store and restaurant nearby. They rent canoes and arrange rafting, volcano climbing, and fly fishing. Great place.

The bathrooms and sinks were clean, and the staff shared useful hiking information. We were camping rather than staying in the cabañas, which looked lovely. There were shady spots and great views of Volcan Osório by the lake. The one downside was the noise: a group next to us stayed loud until 3 or 4 am, and I wish quiet hours had been enforced.

We had a great view of volcano Orsono, and the camping pitches were flat and easy to set up on. The problem was one dog wandering around and barking through the evening and night. We could hear it trotting past our tent and barking what felt like nonstop. Not sure whether it bothered the other campers, but it definitely kept us up.

The spot right by the lake was a great location, but the campsite itself was disappointing. We booked a month ahead and still got the last space, even though better spots were open. Some people also played loud music late into the night.
