We booked two nights but left after spending two hours trying to sleep on the first night. The old house is full of creaking, groaning floorboards, and using the stairs made the whole of bedroom 1 shake because it sits above them. Even when people tried to be quiet, they weren’t. There was also a weird phone-like vibration coming from inside the wall beside the head of the bed. We couldn’t get comfortable at all. The staff were nice, but there was nothing they could do or offer. The owner seemed very disorganized: after we booked through booking.com, they messaged us on WhatsApp several times, confused about our dates. They offered no solution or compensation, just said “the house is old.” I wouldn’t recommend it.

The bathroom was outside my single room, even though I expected a private bathroom experience, and the poor sound insulation meant I could clearly hear noise from other rooms and common areas. I couldn’t get privacy or proper rest. This is about my stay, not the refund policy. I’m sharing it so people who value quiet and private space can decide whether this place suits them.

The breakfast was delicious, and we’d gladly come back. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and quiet, in a traditional wooden house that’s been nicely renovated. The landlords gave us a warm welcome and were lovely and helpful. It’s about a five-minute walk from the center, but much more restful and quieter than being right in town. We also did a fantastic four-hour trail around the Osorno volcano with Mauricio from Compass del Sur. We highly recommend staying here.

Mauro gave us a perfect welcome. The hostel is right in the center, with lovely bright, clean rooms and spacious, comfortable common areas. They offer a full range of services, from meals to tours. I took one tour and it was perfect. Couldn’t ask for more.

We really liked this hostel. It’s cozy and very clean, with a great kitchen. The staff are all so friendly, and breakfast is great too. Highly recommend!
