La Casona Hostal Puerto Varas

We had a terrible stay at the hostel in the old house, Pucará. The rooms were spotless, but there was nowhere to prepare a meal or heat up food. On the first night a large group was using the dining room, so we couldn't go in. The next night the same group, who weren't even staying at the hostel but in the cabins across the street, took over the common room for a loud party that lasted until 1 am. It was so noisy the hostel rooms shook. We had nowhere to eat or heat food. Some of us ended up eating in a hallway, standing up, which was humiliating. I called the owner, and she hung up on me. Absolutely unacceptable. Don't stay here.
