Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, and breakfast is homemade and included with the stay. The lodge is a hidden gem: quiet, with a balcony looking over the lake and a super-comfy chair in the room. No noisy elevator either. Staff were welcoming and attentive. There are outdoor hot tubs, but reserve ahead since they take four hours to heat. The pool area is being remodeled. You can book tours through the hotel, including a boat trip to Peulla, fishing, horseback riding, climbing, trekking, and skiing. I highly recommend it.

The hotel is beautiful and very quiet, with spacious, well-heated rooms. Shower pressure was good and the water was perfectly hot. The food, unfortunately, was very average. The location is amazing, but after a lot of rain you could get stuck because of landslides, so I wouldn’t stay here the night before a flight.

We had two wonderful days, with very peaceful nights. The excursions were all reachable by car, which suited us perfectly, and we personally loved the food at breakfast and dinner. The staff were consistently friendly, kind, and attentive. A special thank you to Nicolas. Our conversations were warm and heartfelt, and we really appreciated your presence, your work, and the way you are as a waiter. We’ll tell Emma and Pearlie about you and carry you in our hearts. You’re a wonderful person, so stay just as you are. You always meet twice in life.

The three-course lunch at Petrohue Lodge was excellent value and made us forget the rainy weather outside. They served lactonesa with sesame and bread as an amuse-bouche. I’d never tried it before, and it’s kind of addictive.

We came for lunch at this gorgeous spot by the lake, and it was quiet and relaxed. The set menu didn’t have a vegetarian option at first, but the staff made a vegetarian moussaka just for us. They’re lovely and welcoming, and it’s a great place to get a bite.
