Hostal Cordillera

The location and price are great, but I slept very badly. The walls between rooms are thin, and I could hear everything, including the hallway and dining room. The sheets weren't very clean, with stray hairs all over. Breakfast was bad. Only stay here if you can sleep through noise.

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was good. But the shower water kept shifting from very hot to cold when I tried to adjust it, so it wasn't relaxing.

The bathroom was on the small side, though it worked fine, and our cabana itself was pleasant and quiet. Lunch and dinner are available for an extra charge, but they're set menus. We didn't check beforehand, so we ended up paying full price for rice and eggs. Make sure to see the menu before making the required reservation.

We had to push several times to get the room we had reserved. Before arrival, the staff confirmed an accessible room by email, but it was occupied when we got there and they first offered us a room on Level 2. Since we couldn't use the stairs and were staying four nights, a ground-floor room was arranged only after a long discussion with the boss by phone. The accessible room opened up the next day, but they still didn't move us. After two days, we insisted again and were told it was available. When I asked why it hadn't been offered from the first day despite the email, they said they didn't know who had answered it. Communication was also difficult because not everyone at reception spoke English. Breakfast was mediocre too, and the food quality needs work.
