We stayed at the end of November 2017, and Ruby and Juan were the best hosts we met on our whole South America trip. They made us feel like part of the family, which was wonderful. The breakfasts were delicious and varied, and Juan took us around Punta Arenas. You could tell how proud he was to have grown up there. It cost a little more than other hostels we'd paid for on the trip, but it was totally worth it.
Juan Pedro is such a lively, wonderful host. The rooms are spacious and super clean, and feel like staying in your own place. Breakfast is shared with the host family, and Juan makes sure you know your way around Punta Arenas. There are great travel stories and free history lessons too. Bee highly recommended for anyone looking for a home-away-from-home feel.
Juan Pedro makes the stay feel personal, and we loved it here. The place is clean and comfortable, with a great location and a super helpful host. Breakfast was great, and there was coffee in the afternoon too. We enjoyed sharing breakfast with guests from all over the world. Great value.
My husband and I spent three days at Hostal Dundo Ivo and had a great time. Pedro and Ruby were very nice to us, and the rooms were comfortable and affordable.
The hostal is in a great location, and Juan Pedro and his wife were amazing hosts. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're visiting.
