I asked for two double rooms for my family, but we were given one room with two beds and an extra bed shoved against the wall, blocking the balcony. The room was so bad that after checking in I left the key at the main desk and went somewhere else. The sheets, blankets, and pillows were stained and dirty, the bathroom was grubby, and the ceiling was peeling. There was mould, and the wardrobe wouldn’t stay shut and had no handles. The kitchen where breakfast was served looked old and dirty, and I wouldn’t want to prepare food there. Walking in had initially felt like stepping back a hundred years, which seemed like a cute idea in a built-up city, but the room changed my mind.

It’s a cozy, clean hotel, and the breakfast was tasty, even if there weren’t many choices. It may not be fancy, but for a short trip it could be a good place to stay while enjoying the city.
