Hostel Salt NPepper

The breakfast was really good, and I liked how easy it was to get around from here. The shared spaces had a warm, social feel, so I met plenty of interesting people. My room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. The staff were always helpful and made me feel welcome. I had a fantastic stay last week and would happily come back. Great choice if you want somewhere comfortable and affordable.

At $45,000 a night, I expected at least basic hygiene and service, and this didn't come close. The room was in rough shape, with stained walls, mold in the bathroom and on the shower curtain, a broken, worn wooden toilet seat, poor-quality sheets, and very basic furnishings. There was no real check-in or welcome. They didn't ask for ID or record any information, and no one explained anything about the place. Staff had no uniforms or identification, and there was no proper check-out either. We weren't offered any extras during the stay, not even lunch or use of the hot tub. Breakfast was bare-bones too. They didn't even have a coffee maker or butter. A very poor experience, and completely unacceptable for tourist accommodation.

The service really stood out, and the staff treated us wonderfully. My partner, daughter, and I stayed here last week and had a fabulous time. A perfect 70! 👏 We'd recommend it without hesitation and hope to be back soon.

The owner was so sweet and kept checking that we were comfortable. The cook was lovely too, and made delicious food. We had a very comfortable room, with friendly, helpful staff around. It's only 5 minutes from downtown Quilpue, so the location worked perfectly. I already know where I'll stay on my next trip to Quilpue ☺️
