We stayed both before and after the W trek, and the owner made sure we had what we needed each time. Before our early start she gave us a hearty breakfast, and on a warm, strangely windless day she put a fan in the room. I have celiac disease, and she provided a gluten-free breakfast. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows and blankets. The shower had good pressure and hot water. Her care helped make both the start and end of our trip really positive.

Of the four hotels we stayed at in Patagonia, Casa Lucy had the most comfortable bed. Lucy was a wonderful host and went out of her way to make sure we had a nice stay. I’d stay again when I’m in PN. Thanks, Lucy!

The rooms were fine, and it’s a handy spot for trekking, less than a ten-minute walk from the bus station. Breakfast was average, much like what we had elsewhere in South America: eggs, toast, ham and cheese, tea, and coffee. After reading such ecstatic reviews, I have to say I was a bit puzzled by the hype. There was also a mismatch between the price on the third-party booking site and what we were quoted that day. They said the IVA discount applied only if we paid cash or in dollars, whereas the official rule they gave was that it applied only with a foreign credit card.

After the W trek, we came back with nowhere to stay, and Casa Lucy was just what we needed. The room was super clean and the bed was so cozy. Breakfast this morning was great too. Highly recommend!

When we got back from the W-Trek, our luggage had already been brought into the room. We’d asked Casa Lucy for a room after the hike and whether we could leave our bags there. The room was spacious, with a modern bathroom. Breakfast had everything we needed and was really good. Lucy and her husband were lovely and helpful. Five stars don’t feel like enough.
