Enjoy Santiago - Hotel del Valle

There’s plenty to do here, with a spa, outdoor hot tub, pool, mountain bikes, casino, and restaurants. Our room was superb, with lots of space, nice views, a safe, a tub, and everything else we needed. A good spot for a weekend escape.

The casino was a bright spot: clean and tidy, with only a few machines out of service, good evening entertainment, and very good service. The staff at the hotel were generally good too, but the restaurants’ food was forgettable and breakfast disappointed me. The rest of the experience didn’t feel up to four-star standards. The access road is in bad shape and unattractive, and reception was overwhelmed when we arrived, leaving us waiting over 30 minutes. Our room wasn’t unpleasant, but it needed maintenance: the air conditioning didn’t work, the TV had no signal and nobody offered a fix, the bathtub faucet was loose, the makeup mirror was detached, and the shower leaked. There was visible corrosion on both the balcony and the hotel facade. For what it costs, the quality doesn’t add up. I’m not sure I’ll stay at this hotel again; it’s the first Enjoy I’ve found in this condition.

The valley views are spectacular, and the spacious bathroom and hot tubs give the place a romantic feel. The pizzas are delicious, too. Of the five Enjoy hotels I’ve visited, this one is my favorite. I’d skip room service, though, since the food wasn’t tasty; better to go down to the restaurant. I loved most of the spa, including the Jacuzzi, dry sauna, seasonal outdoor pools, and cold plunge pool, but the women’s steam room was under maintenance and the spa could use some improvement.
