Hotel San Felipe El Real

The staff were wonderful, and Alejandra was especially attentive to everything. We loved the breakfast and the hotel restaurant, and the service there was excellent too. My only complaint is a silly one: my wife won a voucher for two mojitos on Valentine's Night Saturday, but the restaurant was closed on Sunday. We saw each other first thing Monday morning, and never got to use it! Hahaha 😍😭💕

The location worked really well for walks and shopping, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was generous and had plenty of variety. Isabel and Jesús were especially great, and the whole staff were friendly and attentive. The service was spectacular. We’d definitely choose this hotel again.

The owner was friendly and always ready to help, which made some of the hotel’s drawbacks easier to put up with. It’s well located, but feels neglected. The rooms aren’t spacious, the curtains were dirty, and the floors are carpeted. On the plus side, there’s air conditioning and a hairdryer, and they provide towels and soap if you forget yours. Breakfast wasn’t a buffet: they served two small rolls and scrambled eggs if you wanted them. It wasn’t much, but it was fine for me. There was also yogurt, Watts juice, and something sweet, either pancakes or cake. They have a Nescafé machine for coffee with milk or even Milo.

This place shouldn’t even be open. It was filthy, dark, and in terrible condition. We had to haul our luggage up two flights of stairs, then found a room that was unbearably ugly. The carpets seemed to have 50 years’ worth of bacteria in them. A complete disaster.
