Hotel Hacienda los Lingues

We only came for lunch, after a friendly gentleman said that was possible. Instead, we were taken on a tour of the property. It might have been interesting another time, but we repeated that we were there to eat, and the tour went on without telling us when or where lunch would be served. No menu or drinks were offered, so we left. A strange way to run a business.

Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were both a pleasure, and the bar was great too. We had a wonderful family stay, with plenty of time to unwind by the pool. The hacienda sits among peaceful vineyards at the foot of the mountains, and its beautiful gardens and history make the property special. Antonio and Herman were responsive hosts and took care of everything we needed. Thanks for a lovely visit. I can't recommend it enough.

We were unsure about booking somewhere so far off the main route, but it was easy to find from the freeway, and Santa Cruz was only an hour away for a day trip. At the hotel, Jonathan went to great lengths to ship back a jacket we'd left behind, making sure it reached us in Santiago at no cost. Really good service from everyone at Los Lingues, and we'd happily return. There's lots to do around the property. The huge, well-kept pool was great for the kids, and there was table tennis, fussball, and a soccer pitch. The staff were lovely, and Jose even found us a mountain bike to ride. We had breakfast there both days, with a good choice of cereal, cheese, meat, and eggs cooked fresh. Dinner was good too: just two options, but fresh Chilean food, great ceviche, and flan. It's a rustic country setting with farms, vineyards, corn, and horses, a good place to get a feel for Chile and stay in a hacienda. The rooms are antique in style, but the shower was good, the towels were thick and new, and the mattress was fine.

The service was so exceptional and the place so wonderful that I'd give it even more stars if I could.
