Hostal Anpaymi Atacama

The owner and her adorable dog Nube welcomed me so warmly when I arrived. The place was clean and well kept, and both the owner and staff were around and attentive when anything came up. Even in the heat, my room stayed cool. Little touches made a big difference: a pool towel for my lagoon trip, food suggestions, bedside earplugs, advice on what clothes to bring for each excursion, and help at any hour, including a 5 a.m. pickup and midnight drop-off. It’s about a ten-minute walk from the central square and a little off the main road, with plenty of restaurants and kiosks right next door. WiFi worked well, the shower pressure was great and the water was just right, and there was a strong fan in the room if it got too warm. Thanks, Hostal Anpaymi Atacama, for a great stay!

Andrea was incredibly kind and sweet when I arrived at the hotel feeling very sick from the altitude after a tour. I won’t forget how she treated me. The family-owned hotel is fairly new and has full facilities. There’s a store across the street where I could get all sorts of things, including fresh fruit. I’d highly recommend it to tourists.

Compared with other places to stay in San Pedro, this is good and reasonably priced. The rooms are very clean, the staff are super nice, and the modern, clean communal kitchen is a real bonus. It’s next to a playground too, which was great for our four-year-old.

The staff were super friendly and shared lots of helpful information in English about town, San Pedro, and the Calama region. The room was cozy and clean. There’s a grocery store right across the street, and the bus station is a ten-minute walk away.
