I was very satisfied here, much more so than with my earlier stay in town. The rooms seem to have been improved since the issues people may have had before. It’s a little outside town, which I liked, and the spacious compound had a clean pool and a very relaxed feel. There’s a small waterway beside the corridor, so it sounds like you’re next to a creek. Jose is a nice host. I’m not sure about the parties, so maybe ask ahead whether they host any. It was a great place to rest and calm down after the intense Uyuni tour. The price is good for a private bathroom, hot water, a comfortable bed, clean sheets, and a towel.

We didn’t have a pleasant stay. Staff were hardly ever around, the kitchen was filthy, the garbage wasn’t emptied daily, appliances were sticky, and cupboards were falling apart. Our room wasn’t cleaned during the stay. WiFi didn’t reach the rooms, and we had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper. The in-room bin wasn’t emptied at all. One pool hadn’t been cleaned and couldn’t be used. The other was open to the public, with noisy groups hanging around all day and playing very loud music. The reception had a poor selection of drinks. Water was shut off at night, so using the bathroom properly overnight or early in the morning wasn’t possible. One night the kitchen was locked, and we couldn’t get to the fridge or drinking water until we found someone with a key the next morning.

The peaceful setting away from the city center was lovely, and the views of the volcanoes are beautiful. There are adorable llamas on the property, two refreshing pools, a shared kitchen, a barbecue grill, and parking. The staff were very attentive, especially the owners, Yesenia and her daughter, who are so kind. Rooms are spacious, clean, and solidly built, but there’s no wardrobe, hangers, or chair. No TV either, though the internet is good. I highly recommend it.

We were welcomed so well by the owner, who took us in late at night even though we had no reservation and let us choose between rooms. The parking area is huge, right in front of the room, which is very handy when traveling by car. Rooms are spacious and the shower is excellent. Calle Caracoles is about an 11-minute walk away. I definitely recommend it and would return!

What a spectacular, completely authentic place. The pool, common areas, animals, and the care they give guests make the desert stay so much more fun. The staff are always smiling and ready to help, and it feels like being with family. We met Solencio, the property caretaker, who was wonderful. He showed us how to ride a horse around the lodge and taught us about the local animals. It really felt like home, thanks to everyone there. I’d absolutely recommend it, and already know where I’ll stay if I return to San Pedro. Thank you for everything!
