Dominica Hostel

The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of warm bedding for cold Chilean winter nights. We stayed in a private room with its own bathroom, in an outdoor-style cabin next to the street. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the corner of Pio Nono is handy if you want lots of studenty, cheap bars and clubs around. That could suit you or not, depending on your taste. The bass can be loud at 4am, though, and the Wi-Fi kept dropping in the outside cabins. Pio Nono also has Venezia, a great little place for Chileno food at fairly low prices.

Right in the middle of Bellavista, this hostel is close to restaurants and bars, with a lively bohemian feel. The place was very clean and the staff were great. On weekends the bar opens, with good music and a chance to meet fellow travelers.

It was clean throughout, with really good beds and friendly staff. The hostel is well equipped, though I wish it had lockers since those are always useful. Breakfast was okay. Being near so many bars does mean it gets a little noisy at night.

I had a great stay in July 2014. Everything was spotless, and the owner was really friendly. All the staff were attentive too. There’s a bar downstairs in the basement, a relaxed place to meet people and have a good time.
