The staff were courteous, professional, helpful, and spoke English. I also liked the little coffee shop, which had delicious sandwiches, cakes, and drinks, with a 10% discount for hostel guests. I was traveling alone at 65, and felt very welcome during my two weeks in Santiago. I'd stay here again. The hostel was quiet at night, and I slept well throughout my stay. My room had a large, comfortable bed and a spacious private bathroom, with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Wi-Fi reception was good, and the kitchen was well equipped and clean. Guests also get a generous breakfast at no extra charge. It’s in a great part of Santiago, close to cafes, restaurants, and small markets. There’s a lively nightlife area with bars and live music about a 10-minute walk away, and many attractions, including the historic centre, are easy to reach on foot. The place was well managed, quiet, and intimate.

The homemade breakfast each morning was a real highlight, especially in the sunny courtyard. The place felt safe, quiet, warm, and homely, with plush bedding and amazing hot showers. Tara the hostel cat was wonderful company for endless hugs, and we'll come back just for her. Thanks to the team, keep it up! After two months of travel and countless places to stay, this b&b was easily one of the best.

After a long flight, I came straight here and the staff made me feel at home in a foreign continent. They were so warm and welcoming. Thanks for a memorable stay, I'll be back!

We've stayed at Tambo Verde once before and will come back again. It's a great little hostal, close to a lively part of downtown, and the staff are really helpful.

The room was a good size, with a cozy, comfortable bed. Several heaters kept it warm on colder nights, and the bathroom worked well for my stay. Only tiny suggestion, some soap and shampoo for the shower :-) The location felt safe, and it's under a ten-minute walk to Bellavista's bars and restaurants and the cable car up to Cerro San Cristobal. The staff were friendly, answered my questions, and had useful tips. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I'd happily stay again and recommend it.
