Mercure Santiago Centro

The staff were nice and tried to help, and I appreciated the welcome gift on my first night as a gold member. I also liked the view of the main street. Still, the area felt unsafe, especially seeing security lock the iron gate after sunset. The average rooms didn’t block sound well. The bed was uncomfortable, with wheels that made it slide away from the headboard. I kept finding hair on the bed and even on towels, so the room wasn’t very clean. Breakfast was very poor in my opinion and had no variety. There was no coffee maker, just blended filtered coffee and milk. Cappuccino cost extra, and although I could get an omelette, one day I was told for some reason the kitchen wasn’t offering them. I definitely won’t stay there again.

Robert in the restaurant deserves a big shout-out. He was friendly and professional, and made every breakfast a pleasure. Colombina at the front desk was also incredibly welcoming and helpful, going out of her way to take care of anything I needed. I had a fantastic stay at Mercure Santiago, with a convenient location, comfortable rooms, and truly outstanding service. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it.

I enjoyed the hotel so much that I stayed twice during my trip to Chile and Argentina. The rooftop pool, terrace, and bar were nice extras, and the shower had very hot water while the WiFi was strong. My room was very spacious, the breakfast was great, and the staff were extremely friendly. The central location suited me perfectly. I’d happily stay here again on a future visit to Santiago.

I’d absolutely stay at Mercure Santiago Centro again. Its location makes it easy to explore Santiago on foot, with many of the main attractions, restaurants, and cultural sites nearby. The staff were professional and attentive, and every interaction from check-in to departure was pleasant and efficient. We had a spacious suite with great city views, and the extra room made a real difference after long days of sightseeing. If your budget allows, I’d recommend upgrading. The one small drawback was the queen bed, which felt a bit small for such a large suite. A king would have been ideal. The pool and bar area was a lovely place to relax within the hotel. Breakfast was okay, but could be better in both quality and variety. That was probably the one part of the stay that didn’t quite meet the hotel’s standards. Even with that and the bed size, the location, service, and suite made it good value.
