The building is nice and has a garage. The apartments are comfortable, and there's a terrace with laundry and a barbecue area, plus a wonderful view.
Great.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the rates were affordable, and the location beside Los Leones metro station was excellent. Inside, the rooms were spacious, with a fairly well-equipped kitchen, a decent-sized bathroom, and a large balcony. There was daily cleaning and tidying like at a hotel. But the street noise made it impossible to rest. I stayed eight nights and never slept more than three hours in any of them. A bus stop directly across from the building added to the constant traffic and honking in Santiago, day and night. The noise pollution came with air pollution too: gray grime on the curtains, walls, and floor. It could have been a great place to stay, but that combination ruined it. Travel Place is an apart-hotel in an ordinary residential building, with some units apparently managed by a company.
The location was great. We paid around R$ 330,00 per night for two during peak season, so the value was still reasonable, though a few improvements would have made us much happier. The small kitchen and sofa area were useful, and I could meditate in the morning without disturbing my wife or breaking my routine. There were some maintenance issues: the kitchen ceiling, a small tear in a cupboard door, and a bathroom door that wouldn't close properly. We expected every room to have an Andes view, but ours didn't. When we asked to move, they said they were full all week, and didn't make any further effort to help. It also didn't really feel like a hotel. There was an apartment building reception, no dedicated front desk, and no 24-hour service. The hair dryer was broken, and when we noticed after 6 PM and called, we were told we'd have to wait until the next day for help.
