The location is really good, which makes the stay all the more disappointing. I’ve spent the first 25 years of my life in hotels and never experienced anything like this. We got a note under the door saying the power would be cut from midnight to 6am. That meant no lights, running water, air conditioning or WiFi, and the room had terrible, almost nonexistent natural ventilation. There was no proper explanation from the manager, no refund and no offer of another hotel. The junior front desk staff just shrugged; one even said, “I am glad I am not here tomorrow.” The note included the manager’s number, but said to use it only for a “medical emergency.” I asked for a late checkout, and staff had to get permission before it was granted. Dinner was another first: I ate at the hotel, where the salmon was dry, then asked to put it on my room. They said they couldn’t because I hadn’t left a guarantee, like the paper card swipe some older guests may remember leaving at booking. I had to go to my room for my card and come back to pay. The waiter couldn’t understand why I didn’t understand. Maybe under new management or ownership this could be a great hotel.

Matias made the start of our South American trip especially good. He saw we were jet lagged when we arrived, welcomed us warmly, suggested places to go throughout our stay, and even helped set up mobile access. His hospitality experience showed, and his English was perfect. Honestly, we wouldn’t have had as good a time without his help. Andreas was courteous and helpful too, and the whole front desk team deserves credit. We spent three nights in a really comfortable, spacious room. Breakfast had an incredible number of choices. Big high five to the management of this boutique hotel. They’ve got the right people and culture. Highly recommend.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the location was great. Comfortable rooms and beds too.

A lovely little hotel, close to downtown and in a good area. The staff were polite and accommodating.

Breakfast was great, and the hotel staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and clean, but there weren’t enough power outlets and the toilet smelled a little like sewage. The frigobar was empty, and there was no kettle, coffee or tea.
