Temuco itself wouldn't be my pick for a visit, though Hostal Mackay worked well for us. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was decent: a hot drink, juice, toast, cheese, ham, and marmalade. Being so close to the JAC bus terminal was handy too.

The breakfast was generous and tasty, and service was excellent. We had a very comfortable bed in a well-heated double room, making for a pleasant stay.

This is my second stay, and it's been great both times. The location beside the buses is really convenient. Breakfast is decent, and the friendly staff make the place feel welcoming.
