La Casa Temuco

The noise was the biggest problem during my stay at La Casa Temuco on 04/03/2026. Other guests kept making noise in the hallway, and the walls are incredibly thin. I called reception at 3:31am. The receptionist tried to step in, but it didn’t solve things, and I got almost no sleep. I was exhausted the next day, which staff could clearly see. The staff had seemed friendly and accommodating at first, but the noise issue was handled ineffectively. Marisel Manriquez from the quality department later apologised and offered a courtesy for a future stay. I was leaving Chile within a few days, so that wasn’t useful to me, and I asked for a full refund because of the experience and lack of sleep. After that, communication got worse. When I called on 05/03/2026, someone picked up and hung up without a word. I sent WhatsApp messages on 10/03, 14/03, and 17/03, and got only repeated automated replies saying the case would be handled “shortly.” Nobody followed up. On 14/03/2026, a receptionist told me the earlier hang-up and lack of replies may have been because staff didn’t speak English. He said he knew about the incident, would talk to his manager, and promised I’d hear back by 16/03/2026 at the latest. He also called the compensation amount “small,” which was disappointing after what I’d experienced. I waited as agreed, but heard nothing. I called again on 17/03/2026 after another unanswered message. A male receptionist, Diego, answered and could communicate in English. After about a minute and a half, while I was still calm and respectful, he abruptly hung up without explaining why. It felt extremely unprofessional. When I followed up on WhatsApp, he later said he’d hung up because he didn’t understand English well and wasn’t familiar with my case. That contradicted the way he’d handled the call. He then told me to contact the administrator, even though I’d already been promised a response days earlier. It’s now been nearly two weeks of being ignored, misled, and treated without professionalism or respect. I held off posting this because staff asked me to, but enough is enough. Between the sleepless night, the poor handling of the noise, the repeated automated replies, bad communication, and being hung up on more than once, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. I’d avoid this place if you value sleep, clear communication, and basic respect.
