The kitchen has what you need for simple cooking, including pots, spices, oil, and a grater. The place is clean, cheap, and quiet. It's opposite the police station, so the area feels fairly safe. Some spots could use a bit of refurbishment, but it's great value for the price.

Clean and nice.
This is a quiet, low-key place, and the woman who runs it is extremely strict. It doesn't accept volunteers. I went there to get away from Santiago, which meant going to the beach and coming back with sand. She owns the place on Airbnb and gave me a terrible rating just because there was sand on my room floor, which was bound to happen. She also blamed me for a badly installed toilet, and that directly affects my Airbnb profile. I had given the place an excellent rating because it seemed clean, though the bathroom has no door, so smells spread out into the room. I would never stay there again. She's very inflexible.
A simple but cozy place. They don't serve breakfast. The location is very good, near downtown and across from a battalion, so it feels safe.
