The Google Maps pin is wrong, and the hostel isn't as far uphill as it shows. Be careful in this area. The hostel itself is really nice, quiet at night, and the hot shower works. The volunteers are amazing and helped me a lot since the owner only speaks Spanish.

My friend and I picked this hostel because it was affordable for a few days. The common area was spacious and cute, the kitchen was large and seemed to have the essentials, and the people we met were nice. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Our room was big and had a nice bed. The road is a bit sketchy, and I really wouldn't recommend walking the last three blocks at night. Take a bus or an Uber from the bottom of the road. Traffic noise was also very loud in our street-facing room. We booked a private room, but there was no way to lock it when we left for the day. It wasn't a huge issue, but a lock would've been nice. The bathrooms were a little run down, with a hole in the ceiling and hair and other grime on the floor during the two days we stayed. For the price, the good points outweighed the bad ones for us.
