I liked the restaurants nearby and would definitely come back. Our room had a band theme and was cleaned every day. There's a fridge, free coffee and tea, and a really nice rooftop terrace with a view across the bay.

Fernando and Martha, along with the other helpers, made our stay feel special. The staff were always there for us. It's a great place to stay in Valparaiso, and I highly recommend the hostel.

We'd booked and paid for May 23 to 26 while on holiday from Australia, but the place was closed when we arrived. No one answered the phone, the bell, or our knocks. We were shocked to have to look for somewhere else at 4 pm. Taking our money for a stay like that is disgraceful. Is this place a scam?

My husband left his phone behind, and they kept it for us for two weeks until we came back. The staff were awesome, and the hostel was clean and well kept. Rooms have different themes, and we stayed in the Bob Marley room. The view was great, and breakfast was pretty good too.

The neighborhood has lots of places to eat, including what we thought was the best empanada place in Chile. Our beds were clean and comfy, the bathrooms were private, and breakfast was fantastic. Staff were friendly, and the city view was great. If you can, choose a room with a view, though people passing by can get rowdy in the evening. It wasn't loud enough to bother us.
