A really peaceful place to stay in Valparaíso. Excelente Lugar, a must ♡

Paty runs this peaceful place high in the hills above Playa Ancha. She’s very friendly and has lots of stories to share. The view from the third floor is breathtaking.

We were so happy with the wonderful hospitality from the hostel owner. She kept checking that everything was going smoothly and that we were comfortable. The view made New Year’s fantastic, and my family and I will definitely come back.

My family and I stayed for two days. We liked the price and the Booking.com rating best. The room had a bed and a bunk bed, but no windows. It wasn’t very nice, though at 7,000 pesos we agreed we couldn’t expect more for the price. The first day was uncomfortable. There was just one bathroom on the second floor, and it was occupied. We could use the one downstairs, but it was a bit far away. Some guests cooked onions at 11:15 PM, even though dinner is allowed only until around 10 PM. The smell got into our windowless room, and we couldn’t air it out. Around 1:00 AM, the couple next door started arguing and swearing loudly. We could hear everything through the poorly finished walls, and it made it hard for my family and me to sleep peacefully. The next day was a little quieter, but someone in the next room woke us at 6:00 a.m. with loud rock music that went on for a while. Maybe we were just unlucky as a family, but I’d recommend the owner keep an eye on these issues so they don’t happen again. The view from the third floor and terrace was good, the price was good, it was very clean, and the cleaning lady was friendly. The downsides were the annoying noise, the owner’s lack of concern, and limited bathroom availability.
