Hostal Mi Paz

The location made it easy to get around, while the guesthouse itself stayed peaceful. We were comfortable in our clean, practical sea-view room throughout our stay. Mi Paz has a warm, family-run feel, good indoor and outdoor common areas, and a shared kitchen with plenty of equipment. Elena and Andrej were especially kind and took great care of us. We really appreciated their hospitality.

We had such a peaceful stay at Hostal Mi Paz, and we'd definitely choose it again if we come back to Valparaíso. The hosts were caring and attentive, and Elena showed us around the area and suggested tourist spots we could visit. Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Since the day was chilly, they gave us blankets for the night. The place felt safe, and the kitchen and bathrooms were kept tidy. 10/10.

They gave us a 20-minute rundown when we arrived, covering the city, things to do, and neighborhoods to explore, which was everything we needed. The kitchen was great and well equipped, and the hosts kept the place spotless, coming by several times daily to empty the trash and wash dishes. We could walk into the city center without any trouble, and the accommodation felt quiet and safe. Some guests were inconsiderate and spoke loudly and played music. I alerted the hosts, and they went to ask them to respect the property. Honestly, this is one of the best Airbnbs we've stayed in across all our trips. Go without hesitation. Thanks for everything.

The owners, a Venezuelan family, were friendly, but I wouldn't recommend the service. I booked two nights and left after one because the price felt too high for what was provided. In winter, the house was damp and cold, with no heating and poor insulation. The construction felt flimsy, and a partition wall separated the rooms. The only way to get warm was to get into bed, or rent a stove from them, which they offered. The kitchen gear was in rough shape: the pots were old, with Teflon almost melted off, and the refrigerator had a piece of wood instead of shelves, as shown in the photo. The bathroom was moldy and poorly cleaned.
